Located on the ground floor of the main lobby at El Dorado Royale, Cocotal is air-conditioned. This is your main "get anything" restaurant. They have a wonderful buffet for breakfast with stations for omelets prepared as you wish, as well as a menu to order from. They have an extensive a la carte menu to order from for dinner.

Located by one of the main pools at El Dorado Royale, La Isla can't be missed -  the enormous high palapa roof over this open air restaurant. Breakfast is mainly a la carte from a menu with a small buffet of sides. Great option to order from a menu for lunch and we suggest the crapes or kabobs. Dinner is Mediterranean and well done.

D'Italia, the  original Italian restaurant at El Dorado Royale is on the ground floor of the main lobby. Romantic Italian restaurant with a fabulous menu and (optional) wine list. The menu here is a little more traditional Italian than D'Italia Casitas.

We love the Asian ambiance and menu at Kampai at El Dorado Royale, located in the Casita section. Kampai has a sushi menu, Buddha statue and appropriate background music to complete the mood. Extensive menu and wonderful tastes. Kampai is air conditioned, which makes it a tempting choice to beat the heat for lunch.

To say Jo Jo's at El Dorado Royale is a favorite of ours is an understatement. This is our first stop after check-in. This open air oceanfront restaurant is right next door to its namesake bar with swings. Eat inside or on a patio closer to the water. Expect to see fresh seafood displayed on ice most days - usually either Snapper or Mahi Mahi, cooked as you prefer. There is also an extensive Gourmet Burger menu, plus ceviche, wraps, salads, calamari, onion rings, and much more.

Heineken is served cold in frosted mugs along with Mexican cerveza, Tequila, Mezcal, Margaritas and any other beverage you desire - with or without alcohol.

You will either love Fuentes at El Dorado Royale or you won't. We describe it this way. If you enjoy cooking shows on TV you will probably love it. There is one seating per night. You must arrive by 7pm when drinks are served. The chef and restaurant manager begin preparing and explaining courses at 7:30 broadcast on large screens throughout the restaurant. While one course is being served the next one is prepared before your eyes. This evening requires a good 2 to 2 1/2 hours, so as we say - if you enjoy this, it is a great treat, if you prefer a quicker dinner without fanfare - don't go. This is a prime opportunity to pair wines with dinner via the Sommelier.

Attempting to stay objective here, but Rincon at El Dorado Royale is another fabulous restaurant, especially if you enjoy delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. Time permitting we try to squeeze in a breakfast, lunch and dinner each visit. Each is extremely satisfying.

D'Italia Casitas features delicious Italian cuisine in a chic mostly glass enclosed room steps from the beach in the Casitas section. Intriguing contemporary Italian selections on the extensive menu.

Sante Fe Grill is the newest dining experience at El Dorado Royale. Reminiscent of a New Mexico mission, located upstairs from D'Italia Casitas and adjacent to Bellinis Bar. Novel concept here where you select your main entree and will be served a series of appetizers to share with your party. Note that no more than six will be seated together to accommodate the unique concept. Larger groups will be divided over multiple table.
