Belfast Golfing / Slane Castle, of Concert Fame / Final Dinner & Nightlife in Dublin

This will be our last full day in Ireland. With so many sensational memories already fulfilled the letdown is already being felt. But the journey is not over yet. Justin was up early for a round of golf in the occasional drizzle. We were able to watch him play the 18th hole from our balconies, while Cameron shouted away at Daddy.

After a visit to the 19th hole we are off. Off to Slane Castle, the site of many legendary concerts hosting notables from Queen to Springsteen to U2, who recorded their show here for DVD. The tour is overpriced and very long - too long for a 2-year olds patience. The T-shirts listing the concerts on the back was cheaper and more lasting. So we came away with T-shirts. You can only listen to so many castle tour guides.

In route to Dublin we stopped in Banbridge, another pretty Irish town, and another stop at a cafe/bakery, along with souvenir shops.

​

Last stop, the Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport hotel. Upon returning our rental car we bused to Dublin for a night of last minute souvenir shopping, a fabulous farewell dinner and some Dublin nightlife. The dinner of Fish & Chips, incredible stew, delicious sandwiches and rounds of Irish pints at Darkey Kelly's was absolutely delicious. Tomorrow we depart the hotel before dawn for our morning flight home.
