ULTIMATE VACATIONS welcome's you to Los Cabos, the combined area of the Colonial town San Jose Del Cabo and famous Cabo San Lucas - a 20-mile long corridor, near Lands End and the famous Arch (El Arco) where the 1,000 mile Baja Peninsula dissipates. Flying over the Sea of Cortez the initial view is of sand and desert, with of course the greenest of golf courses dotting the terrain. Before you fully digest that image you're staring at incredible mountains appearing almost immediately.

While Los Cabos in renown for deep sea fishing, golf, and night-clubbing, rest assured there is plenty more to experience. Jack Nicklaus has declared Los Cabos "...absolutely the number one golf destination I know of, period." Pretty strong stuff from somehone who knows golf!

During our stays we have swam with the Dolphins at Cabo Dolphins, did the Night Party Bus Cabo San Lucas Tour (a party bus for the pub crawl - yes we visited Sammy Hager's Cabo Wabo, along with the Giggling Marlin and El Squid Roe); thoroughly enjoyed the Sunset Dinner Cruise; did the fantastic Lands End Tour in a Speed Boat; and conquered the Zip-Line. If you are visiting between January and March the Gray Whales will put on a show for you, spouting within 100 feet of shore.

Los Cabos enjoys an amazing collection of resorts and private villas, each with a unique vantage point of either the Sea of Cortez or the Pacific Ocean. The rainy season, what there is of it, is in November. But Los Cabos is very dry. The hottest months are August and September.

Beauty is not all there is to enjoy in Los Cabos. While world-class designer golf courses and deep sea fishing take top honors, be sure to check out our TOURS below this section for information and pricing on amazing activities like the must-do sunset cruise, whale watching (in-season, December - March), Zip Lining, ATV rides on sand dunes, horseback rides by the Pacific Ocean and many more incredibly fun activities in this amazingly beautiful destination of Los Cabos.

One word of caution, the waters around Los Cabos are not ideal for swimming. In fact very few beaches are safe to swim. Strong waves pound the shore continuously and dangerous under toes are ever present. However, the beaches are spectacular and offer long uninterrupted miles of shore. The good news for you is that ULTIMATE VACATIONS knows which resorts have swimable beaches!
