MARGARITAVILLE COMING TO NASSAU
Attention #Parrotheads. Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville is bringing its fun lifestyle brand resort to the shores of Nassau, Bahamas for the first time. Plans call for a $250 million, six acre development at The Pointe, a mixed use development in the heart of downtown Nassau.
The property, already under construction, will feature a150-room Margaritaville Beach Resort, along with an estimated 150 luxury oceanfront residences, 100 of which will be branded One Particular Harbour at The Pointe.
The newest project for the iconic brand will include a 45-slip marina, spa, water park, an entertainment center, retail shops, kids' club, and of course signature Margaritaville food and beverage concepts.
"Nassau has always projected a well deserved image of beautiful white sand beaches and gorgeous turquoise ocean water. For Margaritaville to land here is no surprise," said Jay French, president of Ultimate Vacations. He added "Margaritaville Beach Resort at The Pointe will fit perfectly within our Banana Wind Vacations collection of Jimmy Buffett inspired vacation packages."
The relaxed lifestyle resort development will also include an open air shopping concourse, movie theater, bowling alley, St. Somewhere Spa, retail huts, a private beach, special blue hole diving pool, and a cascading water pool. Of course no Jimmy Buffett development would be complete without an outdoor performance stage. Cheers to that.
