It all began in 2015 when this new 5-Star All-Inclusive resort appeared on our radar. The prices screamed "great value." The photos were inviting. We offered it as an option to a few clients. Those who took us up raved about it upon return. So we had to check it out personally.
When we descended upon Royalton Riviera Cancun we were ultimately impressed. This is a very modern, chic resort including USB ports everywhere - in room, by the bed, in the safe, by pool loungers, plus bluetooth statons and free WiFi, not to mention the chic cool architecture and designs.
The beach is outstanding, pools are everywhere including a fabulous kids water park area, and an adult-only pool section with the obligatory swim-up bar. All of this only about 25-minutes south of the Cancun airport.
Let's talk about rooms. Quick: Name another all-inclusive resort that offers a King bed or 2 Queen Beds. That's right, not double beds but 2 Queen beds - for adults or fussy brothers or sisters. We would be remiss if we did not brag on the 9 outstanding restaurants ranging from a Steakhouse to Mediterranean, to Caribbean, to Italian, to Asian, Mexican, and a seafood restaurant exclusively for adults. And the Sports Bar is exactly what more all-inclusive resorts need to offer. This one guarantees to show the 'Big Games." Enjoy your favorite comfort foods here - wings, nachos, tenders, burgers and drinks galore.
For activities let us rave about the pool, and the kids pool water park area. The Fitness Center is top notch as resorts go. The spa is fabulous and features a hydrotherapy circuit. Kids and Teens have their own dedicated areas featuring movies, dances, video games, table games, a dining room and more. Adults have activities galore featuring a unique daily menu in addition to the non-motorized water sports and nightly shows and entertainment. And believe it or not there is even a casino on-site.
